Counting Pom-Poms
Counting Pom-Poms
Children will love playing this counting game with their friends. Provide each child in a small group with an egg carton and a supply of pom-poms. To play, a child rolls a number cube and then places the corresponding number of pom-poms into his or her carton. The children will continue to play until a child has filled his or her egg carton with pom-poms.

Letter Tracing with Itmes Found at Home
My four year old loves to trace his letters with his favorite car. I have been doing this activity in my classroom for years and continued this activity with my son. We like to use marbles, paint brushes, erasers and pipe cleaners.
Painting With Pipe Cleaners
Gather several pipe cleaners into a bundle; then bend them in half.
Bind them together to create a brush.

Sung to the tune of (ARE YOU SLEEPING?)
Pattern pieces, pattern pieces,
In a row, in a row.
Show me what comes next.
Show me what comes next.
Do you know? Do you know?

I learned this song early in my career.
